Event Description:The Ames Economic Development Commission will host keynote speaker, Mike Coon of PowerFilm, Inc., for this quarter's Investors Breakfast, scheduled for Friday, July 16. Powerfilm, Inc. is a developer and manufacturer of thin, flexible solar panels based on a proprietary low cost product process. They target the building-integrated solar power market and supply products for selected portable and remote solar power applications, including the U.S. Military. This May their flexible solar cells were launched into space as part of a solar kite that the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency hopes to sail to Venus and beyond. Join us for breakfast Friday, July 16, at the Iowa State University Foundation, Lepke Board Room. Doors open at 7:45 am.
